On December 18th 2014, the PHP group released PHP 5.4.36.
Two security-related bugs were fixed in this release, including the fix for CVE-2014-8142. All PHP 5.4 users are encouraged to upgrade to this version.
The corresponding packages are now available on Dotdeb :
- for Debian 7 “Wheezy” and Debian 6 “Squeeze”,
- on both amd64 and i386 architectures.

Same /etc/init.d/php5-fpm start/stop is not working. same issue with MySQL 5.6.21 just can’t be stoped.

did you consider to re-integrate Suhosin into your PHP distribution? The latest version (2014-12-12 – 0.9.37.1) explicitly supports PHP 5.4 and later:

@Toni : sorry, I have no plan for this, unless its development remains active for months/years and unless the majority of Dotdeb users ask for it.
(Suhosin’s development has been stuck too long, leaving packages maintainers alone)
