Nginx 1.4.5 for Wheezy and Squeeze

Nginx 1.4.5 has been released on February 11th 2014, fixing 7 bugs. More info in the changelog.

As a consequence, Dotdeb’s packages of Nginx 1.4.5 are now available for both Debian 7.0 “Wheezy” and Debian 6.0 “Squeeze” (amd64/i386). Pagespeed and some more modules have been updated, dependencies have been reviewed and proxy settings have been improved (all this according to the Debian Sid changes).

As usual, if you want to know which module has been included in each Nginx flavor, you just have to look at this document.

After upgrading to 1.4.5, I’m getting :

nginx: [emerg] unknown directive “push_stream_eventsource_support” in /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/live

Any ideas?

Indeed, its not a bug report per se , it was just an informal question.

The answer seems to be that push_stream_eventsource_support in the push stream module is no longer valid, so its my own stupid fault, but I’d rather not raise issues when I don’t know for certain there is one 🙂

Oh it’s fine it was my own stupid fault for not realising before posting ! Thanks for all the hard work 🙂

hello,
with the 1.4.4 I had SNI up and running.
After the upgrade, it seems to be broken: I only have the first SSL host responding.
Does anybody else experience that issue ?

Please strongly consider including nginx-auth-ldap!

Auth_pam is not very nice with Wheezy, as pam_ldap.so no longer supports unique configuration files per service.

In effect now either all of your websites have the same auth config as your system, or your system has the same ldap config as your website. Sometimes ok, often not.

And if you want multiple ldap auth configs for your web server, then your luck just ran out. 🙁
